Hand poured candles with a touch of self-care this one is scented with Citronella essential oils. Perfect for Summer garden Parties and Barbecues, we are in love with these, they smell so gorgeous. Citronella essential oil is a great deterrent for pesky mosquitos on Summer evenings.
When you first burn your candle you want to burn it for around 2 hours. Doing this will create a ‘pool’ and will help the candle burn evenly throughout. A pool is when you have an even layer of melted wax and not just a dip in the wax surrounding the wick.
When burning, always burn your candle for at least 2 hours. This will help create an even layer of wax and help it continue to burn evenly – wax has a memory. Burning your candle for short periods can cause tunnelling. Tunnelling is when your candle burns a tunnel like shape through the candle and leave wax build up around the sides.
Trim the burnt part of the wick before each burn – it’s important to keep the wick short. Make sure you break off any of those burnt bits of wick that are left behind.
This is Portsmouth Distillery’s very own small batch artisan Cyder using their award winning recipe (International Cider Challenge Bronze award 2018/2020) of exceptional Cox, Bramley, Egremont and Norfolk Russet apples from the orchards of the Blackmoor Estate here in Hampshire.
Fort Cyder is made from hand picked apples to ensure the impeccable quality of the juice. The apples are hand sorted, washed, scratted, pressed and fermented. It naturally clears through time and oodles of patience with absolutely no chemical interference, no additives and no added sugars or sweeteners, 100% apple juice, with no watering down. It has a wonderful nose reminiscent of classic Normandy-esque light honeycomb aromatics. It is dry but juicy on the palate and extremely appley, with a crisp and bright, refreshingly moorish finish.
